AND NOW TO FINISH ROUND III

III #16 ANIMAL

On yesterday’s ride I thought this little cutsie needed a photo taken…

Then today, as I biked into Everett to find my old weathered wall, I came across these, and was surprised to see goats so near town.

Another item I was really having trouble finding was a kid’s trike. As I meandered along to join Cindy’s ride yesterday, what to my wandering eye should appear?

III #17 KID’S TRIKE

I believe that was a child care place below and when I wanted the photo I was sure to ask the staff person who was there. She had a little guy bring it up closer for me.

III #18 A CURB MADE OF NATURAL STONE

THIS is as close as I can come to getting a natural stone curb! I believe I would have to travel to another continent to find something better. It is the best I can do for this one.

#19 MY TREASURE

Around here we never tire of seeing our mountains. The clouds tell you we have weather coming in.

Now for the final one for ROUND III.

There is a dearth of brick buildings around here as most are wood, aluminum, vinyl, metal, concrete, or some other material. And of the brick ones that ARE around, many are neither old nor weathered. So, I would have to ride a bit of a distance to find one. The only ones I could even think of are in Snohomish (too far) and Everett (far enough but not too far).

On the way to the one I wanted I saw this one which almost but not quite fit the bill.

So I continued on into town to the spot I wanted. You may recall that I took this photo as one of my numbered ones (that was in December 2020).

I got to the spot to find that it is gated off to the public so had to take photos through the fence.

III #20 OLD WEATHERED BRICK WALL

The bike shop that had been in the one building opposite this wall, had to shut down due to Covid and no supplies available. A cafe has now taken it over, which I did not know until today, and has made patio seating in that little alley way. I thought that was a public through way and am surprised it could be gated off to people. I guess I was wrong.

This completes ROUND III and clears me for IV when it arrives. Depending on how challenging that list will be, I may be taking it into July as we will be on the travel a bit with not as much bike days as I normally get.

I also have one of the BONUS ROUND photos…

BONUS #1 VEGETABLE GARDEN (in the early stages)

I have little faith that I will find any of the other bonus photos.

Excellent! You knocked that one out of the park!

Well done, Nancy! Too bad that lovely weathered wall is now fenced off. That was a terrific background for a bike portrait.
    Happy travels in your RV!
