What a difference a day makes! I tried to ride yesterday. Turned out that 35 is a lot colder than 40, and the heavy dampness added to that, did not invite! I turned around for home for a total of 2 miles for the day 😢.

Today at 40 degrees I was happy to do the longer ride I had planned for yesterday. The sun I enjoyed for the a good amount of time of my ride became eaten up by those thick clouds, the temperature dropped slightly and I hit some cold head wind. Fortunately I wasn’t far from home by then so did not get too uncomfortable for the remainder of my ride.

Bucket (near a decorative yard well)

Christmas Crab (at our nearby seafood packer)

Dome (that bubble thing on top of the alien’s transport? I am calling that a dome.)

Elf (on the shelf)

Once home, rain began as I was eating my lunch. Finished my ride just in time. Even though the rain will not last long, I would rather be in here having my lunch than out there in cold wet 😉.

Alien domes are more aerodynamic than anything us humans ever came up with.

Yes, as we know, warm is relative :’-). No rain expected for today and temp at about 40 is inviting enough for me to join a group ride. As group rides go — there will be little or no photographs for this ride, but we are expecting — as forecasters put it — cold sun on Sunday. Will be stopping for photos then. 🤗
