August Challenge: Liquid in the form of a ford

The guys and I did a cold, grey and misty ride today – only about 30km but with 450 metres of climbing. We started at the Woolshed Falls car park, climbed up onto the Beechworth Plateau and then rolled back down through the national park. We had to cross the creek on a causeway at the bottom of the ride. I stopped so the guys could have a habitat break. Then they went for a float at the top of the falls once we got back to the car. More to come when I write up the ride later on.

Aw, aren’t they cute!
They say, “Thank you.”
Glad the guys enjoyed a float, but the water looks too wet for me.
Yes, too wet if you fall in, just right if you get to float on top.
THAT kind of a Ford — was expecting a Mondeo 😉
Vern and Kermit look very happy in a place vaguely reminiscent of a similar spot in CA.
I thought it looked similar to “flat rock” at the confluence of Brush Creek and Santa Rosa Creek, where the Ogre has been known to preen and pose.
The water was low enough my Ford could have made that ford, and the bike had no trouble.
Here’s a pic with low water flow of the falls from the viewing platform. The guys were floating in a pool at the very top.
