B is for Blooming

Tuesday February 7

A very encouraging sign are the Blooming snow drops and hellabores in the neighbor’s garden! The Blue sky was also a beautiful sight to see! I chose to ride my little loop through the forest as it was again around 3C/37F and the trails were clear – I thought.

Hellabores
Blue sky, blue sign for Boys and girls and also Bicycles are allowed on this path from Buchendorf to Gauting.
Got to capture a giant sun Burst, then I encountered Bits of snow, too
The roots and Base of the trees were Buried in dried grass at the side of the road.
Bird house
Bits of Broken Branches on a Bitumen (?) road

I had cycled about two thirds of my loop when I came upon more snow on the path, but by now I was Beyond the point of no return, I didn’t want to turn back. It was time for me to be Bold and Brave and hope that there wasn’t too much snow on the path ahead. I was wary of ice hidden beneath the snow but it was all very safe and I arrived home without mishap.

Stopped for a picture of the hunters Blind

Thursday February 9

More Blue skies, but in spite of the rising temperature, today 5C/41F, it felt awfully cold. Some days are like that. I didn’t feel like stopping too often for pictures – although my heated gloves are performing well.

I must admit that the Bare Branches in winter are Beautiful.
A grove of Beech trees sporting Bare Branches which will look lovely in spring, too.

I have some more ideas for B and the month isn’t over. Warmer days are in the forecast, too,.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

    That sun Burst!! Wow!
I know what you mean about feeling colder than the temps indicate and not wanting to stop much for anything. Right now we are in mid-California with 60 & 65 degrees with sun and blue sky. I deal except that California stays in perpetual drought. Will do another bike ride today so will post something later.
