Beat the heat

We have been having kind of a heat wave on and off. Some days it gets into the 90’s, very hot for these parts, and in between some cooler days. Yesterday was a hot one again so we made sure to leave for our ride in the cool morning hours. It didn’t get uncomfortable on asphalt until around noon when we were back home.
In the featured picture you can see how dry it is, the potato plants in the folded earth here didn’t get enough water it seems.
Some more pictures for the challenge from the ride:

Wet and cold here, that cheese cake looks scrumptious.
Good ones Suzanne!
We are about to enter somewhat of a heat wave here too. Starting in another day it will be in the 90s for several days before cooling back to the 70-80 range. Not good for the eastern side of our state where wildfires take hold.
Lots of bends and creases — really like the bent over wheat and horseshoe horse.
Been hot here too, and the humidity some days is like a sauna.
Poppy seed cheese cake (with creases) looks delicious!
A poppy and a poppyseed cheesecake on the same day. Nice!
