Hardly saw any birds on my ride today, the few that flew overhead didn’t alight for me to get their picture. But I knew where to look for bird feeders and bird houses. They were all at the same location which you can see in the featured picture on top. Below are close up shots.

Not a real bird.
Three bird houses and many insect hotels, or should we call them bird restaurants?
Plain houses
Fancy houses
Something different
Apple houses?
I imagine there should be a lot of insects in those mossy branches.
Across the way I saw this display of bird houses.
The little plaque says “best for birds”.
I think this one was my favorite.

    I can see the folks in Northwest Washington take their bird houses and feeders seriously. VERY seriously. It’s almost as if this challenge was created especially for you.

        A big OOPs on my part. I’m very sorry. For some reason, I thought I was looking at a post by Nancy. She had some good ones previously. So allow me to correct myself. I can see the folks in Germany take their birdhouses and birdfeeders VERY seriously. It’s almost as if this challenge was created especially for YOU.

    Bird restaurants! I love that as an alternate name for an insect hotel. So thoughtful for them to post the snacks so close by their front door..
