Brown Brown Everywhere

Brown is the color of the month here
Suzanne suggested taking some photos of brown fields nearby — we have plenty of those!
Brownish road, brown grass, brown weeds, brown trees
From what (little) I understand, the Raleigh’s paint had brown added to red and blue to produce the burgundy
More brown along the North Fork
Brown grass and corn stubble
Brown soybean stubble
One last Brown w/North Fork trees

The Illinois browns look great but, dude, where’s your snow?
There is some good news in Minnesota. Thanks to temperatures in the 40’s to near-60 this week, we may have very little snow on the ground by Monday. I have no illusions that winter is over though. March is our second snowiest month and April can produce some really big snowstorms. May is generally pretty safe. For now, I’m thinking that next week I can show off some nice brown-ness in the rural farmland like you just did.
Snow is mostly gone except for a few drifts and piles of plowed snow. (>does happy dance<
Oh, I know, snow isn't ruled out here for a few weeks either.
Saw a weather map that showed MN warmer than IL for the next period of time — go figure!
There are some patches of poison hemlock that are nice and green . . . .
I’ve been contemplating my own brown focused post, which is the predominant color here right now (at least where there’s not huge piles of snow). I think Scott has gone out of his way to challenge us with this Kodachrome challenge.
Im not so sure there is much Kodachrome here in the middle of July — in the fall, maybe . . .
Good that your surroundings are so nicely color-coordinated to go with your Raleigh. It might clash terribly with gaudy reds and greens, God forbid! And what a variety of browns you have – grass, trees, corn stubble, soya stubble, weeds, the road… endless. You could probably add powder blue and grey to your palette.
Nice touch, bringing a brown bike to the party. Maybe you should do a separate post with every bike. What other colors do you have to work with?
Well, at this point there is green, brown, black, blue, and burgundy . . . . there is this Schwinn LeTour on Craigslist in a nearby town, its blue . . . . . Im thinking I need to go N- not N+ 🙂
I don’t know. I went N-2 a couple years ago, and regretted it ever since. I don’t think I’d recommend it. I’m about to go N+1 myself next week.
