CHIMNEYS

My post is a little after the fact as the photos are from my ride two days ago — when we even had a little sun break or two! Since then, the weather is not cooperative for a ride, and in addition I had a day of visiting my friend in Seattle.

Around here we have a lot of ‘mundane’ looking chimneys, mostly painted or ‘sided’ to match the house. I contribute only these two as the rest would simply be repetitive with only the color being different.

I have posted the more picturesque chimneys before, but these are quite nice too.

Then, there is the dual chimney aspect…

And the multi-chimneys in a block of condominiums.

Unless I come upon more chimneys in my travels, this could be my final chimney entry. But … you never know, you know ;’-). I will continue to search for more “H” words as well.

All of your chimneys were pretty cool, but I can’t decide if I liked the blue one, the stone one, or the condominium complex of chimneys the most. Well done.

Thanks Greg, this has been and is being a fun challenge for me. In addition — it is truly showing how many different chimneys are around, and how often there is no visible chimney, I have never before been so aware of chimneys.

The boulders and brick chimneys are my choices. Especially the boulders — could spend a long time looking at all those.

I too like the bolder/stone chimney a lot. I am drawn to the more “natural” look of things.

That is quite a collection of chimneys. I can’t imagine owning a condo with a chimney in a place that isn’t usually snowy. It is so much work to start and keep a fire going, I would only do it if absolutely necessary! I do like that someone is bold enough to have a very blue house. Hope you get some more weather breaks soon!

First let me say — it is really really really good to see you here Em 🤗.

I have to wonder if the fireplaces in those condos are gas driven and so no wood used. Many people do that with their existing fireplace.

There are a few more bold people with bold color houses/chimneys. I will see if I can capture at least one of those in a future post.

Great variety in you collection! I think I like the row of condo chimneys the best, reminds me of pictures of really old houses in Paris or London with many chimneys close together.
