CLC #4 Easter Parade

If they aren’t on the bike path they are at the beach!

I went our for a little 19mi ride around town and it just seemed like one big Easter Parade! Hope everyone had a nice day.

These folks thought they could pass me NOT! I ended up leading them down the trail all the way to Pacific Grove.
Lovers Point was busy today.
I decided to just sit and watch and eat my purchased 🍎.
Here they come!!
Some could care less about the site seeing!
Some are in groups.
Some are on electric assist.
Some are families.
Some have their dogs.
Some don’t have bikes at all….they just got off the fishing boats. And some are there daily with a hand out. Jack knows this guy he only works a few hours then gets in his RV.
Dad with kids!
Some rent their bikes.
Locals comparing their cardboard signs. And walking lady you met her last year.
One of our more interesting locals came by just as I was leaving and I had to follow him back a ways to get a photo. He carries quite a load! And in flip flops he rides pretty fast.
Time for me to head home. All of this was in 15 minutes…gives you an idea of what it’s like to ride on the trail on a busy weekend!! Heads up folks!!
View from the top of the hill on the way home.
Happy Trails to you…..

Janet here of Jack and Janet in Seaside, CA. We just love to ride our bikes and share and read stories from other such afflicted souls.

It does look like quite the parade. I hope you wore a suitable Easter bonnet! 😉

Just my “Da Brim” which always gets lots of stares! You thinking of one? They really help with the sun!! Jack even started wearing his Again after his last face surgery!!

I like the fat tyre bike ready for riding the beach. I understand Greenspeed have made a fat tyred trike – the Anura. It is called the Fat-tyre Anura Recumbent Trike or FART. Well, they are Australian.

As well as a mixture of bikes there is a mixture of clothing on show. Looks like a walk through Hobart when a cruise ship is in. Locals in shorts and tees and visitors in Michelin-men jackets and warm hats.

Wow – that’s busy, but good to see everyone enjoying a beautiful day and contributing to the economy. I am certain there are flip-flop people and non-flip-flop people. You can either do everything in them or nothing. I am of the ‘nothing’ sort. It amazes me that people can RUN in them! Happy spring to you!

That must have been fun watching people on bikes! So much variety. And what weather! Quite a contrast to our Easter.

    Janet dearest,

What a good idea. We’re familiar with the Monterey parade but only from the perspective of trying to avoid everyone. Very inspiring. We may have to do it ourselves. And we know that you already had one copycat.

I’m trying to find a day to ride down there. I’ll get in touch.
