Cycle Days Challenge: October 2020

It seems I have started every month’s entry with a comment on how fast time is going by – so I won’t do it this time. But it remains true. The fact that time is passing so quickly also means that winter will come and go just as fast as any other season. Is that a consolation?

My picture gallery for the month is HERE.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

    Small, very small consolation ?.

For having to stay off the bike some in October, you got in some good miles — and GREAT photos. Thanks for showing us. I won’t rob Greg of choosing the best! I love them all and have no idea of how to choose a best one ??‍♀️.

This might surprise you, but the award for “Greg’s Favorite Suzanne Picture for the Month of October” goes to . . . . . . . . the one with the long caption in front of the pilgrimage church with the name I can’t remember right now. There were other fine ones too, but sometimes, as an art critic, you just have to go with your gut.

      The Maria Eich church.

Thanks, Greg, for your Favorite Suzanne Picture for the Month of October! Yes, I was surprised, but pleased. (I thought you might go for the coffee wagon picture.) I know the great out-of-doors is your church, and I like churches for their architecture and cultural tradition, but not really as a place where you are supposed to go if you want to worship.

Thanks, Nancy! Glad you enjoyed the pics. The camera really motivates me to get out but sometimes taking pictures keeps me from going far since I stop so often.

Looks like a good month of riding Suzanne. Autumn is my favorite season, so I love every one of those pictures.

Thanks, Bob! Every month is good for riding, no? Just some are better than others. lol

All the photos are superb, as they always are.
I found the Maria Eich one particularly interesting after reading the caption.

Tempus Fugit — one of the 3 things I remember from 2 years of Latin class. It sure doesn’t seem like in the winter months.

Glad you liked the pics, Rich! Yes, Maria Eich is an interesting place, and especially when you think how many people still believe in those miracles!

    Love the autumn colours

Thanks, Led! This year has been particularly golden, more so than in other years it seems.
