Cycle Days Challenge: The December 2021 Edition

Again a wonderful year with you people here on Cycle365! Thanks for the fun and friendship. I wish you and yours a healthy and happy new year!

This time I got my round-up of pictures for the month finished before the stroke of midnight. HERE they are.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

I really liked the Ingmar Bergman-esque feel of “Looking over snowy fields.” But the award for “Greg’s Favorite Suzanne Picture for December” goes to . . . . . . the more light-hearted “A Ducky Day.”

Loved all the photos Susanne. It looks like your weather pretty much matched ours in terms of snowiness (if that’s a word). And congratulations on the distance goal. I managed to finish off at 3715 miles (5981 km), so I just missed your 6000 km goal. A younger me would head back out this afternoon and crank out a few more in the cold and rain. The older and wiser me instead will be content with what I did achieve. Happy New Year to you!

What beautiful wintry photos – I love all the colour you found among the grey. And congratulations on meeting your riding goal – well done in another year that precluded too much travel. I was just thinking about whether I should set a riding goal for the first half of 2022 or if it would be premature. Maybe I need to set a goal for number of days ridden instead of kms.

Em — that is what I have done for this year — will say more about that in my next post. It does not mean that I didn’t track my miles 😉. As a friend said — I want to know the miles but I don’t want to care about them. Good thought for me for sure.

“Beautiful Snow — don’t stay too long” — my sentiments exactly. As usual, very difficult to impossible to choose a favorite Suzanne photo — but this one is one is near the top for this collection ;’-).
