Cycle Days Challenge: The November 2021 Edition

Again I have gotten behind. It’s almost Christmas and I haven’t yet posted my rides from November. So here it is, finally. I think I posted most of the pictures here already for the weather challenge, so nothing new.

As the season morphed into winter, we had some beautiful days of bright fall colors, some fog and rain and then our first snow.

I rode my bike on 24 days and covered 404 km, bringing the total for the year up to 5,851 km. Will I reach 6,000 by the end of the year? I am hoping for favorable weather.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

Lake Starnbarg and the Lake at Stadtpark are very Minnesotan, but the award for Greg’s Favorite Suzanne Picture for the Month of November goes to . . . The Hunter’s Hide in Forstenreider’s Park. That one is even MORE Minnesotan, though we call them deer blinds.

I had never even heard of deer blinds when I was still living in the US. I just picked the word that sounded most likely from the translation of Hochsitz. We have so many here. I should make a collection.

        Yes, do make a collection.

All beautiful photos, especially the ones with all the leaves on the ground — although! — I hopefully have dealt with cleaning up leaves today for – the – last – time this year!
I like your mascot — I need to find another over here.

ALL such beautiful photos. I have two favorites — the “Hunter’s Hide” and the “Handsome Fella”. Back east, living on and near rivers and not in the woods, we had “Duck Blinds”. Those were the only “blinds” I knew before learning there are others. And since they are for hunting anything, I think “hunters hides” is a perfect title for them.

So many beautiful images, it’s hard to choose. My vote though goes to Fields near Buchendorf and Mossy forest floor. Congratulations on getting out so many days last month? Who said only Minnesotans can be tough guys?
