Cycle Life Challenge Ride #5 — In to the fog

Bright and beautiful and then the fog came in

South of town, 1550 E vanishes

Certainly not a marine layer around here

Must have been an advection fog that moved in from Indiana

Rails vanish into the fog

Vanishing rail and fog

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

Your fog looks almost exactly like Spokane’s air on September 14th, except in Spokane it wasn’t fog.

That is incredible and the smoke doesn’t go away in a few hours. 🙁

I love those vanishing point rail photos. Well done! Your fog looks a lot like Oz fog. Seems like smoke that thick here always has a brown or orange tinge. We get a whole season of that fog, but I suppose it is preferable to a midwest winter since it generally clears to a very nice day instead of the “sun is always predicted in the extended forecast but never appears from November-March” Midwest dullness!
