February’s Challenge: Hazards

Folks might be getting a false sense of security: there’s a vaccination for the virus, we have a new administration here in our country, the insurrection was unsuccessful. life is good, or at least getting better.
You can’t let your guard down though. You might avoid falling against that thorny ocotillo on your left, only to be attacked by the jumping cholla on your right. You might escape an avalanche by running into a clearing, only to fall through thin ice. You might hide in the woods to escape a wild animal, only to be felled by a falling snag. You might survive the storming of the Capitol, only to be shot by some QAnon-crazed congresswoman.
What’s scary out your way? What’s your hazard?

Focusing on all the dangerous things out there, hmmmm… I usually try not to do that. I might not even want to get on my bike seeing all that might befall me. ?
I have a feeling I’ll be able to find some hazards in February in my little corner of the world.
I’d just typed that most all technology was scaring the crap out of me lately and then what I typed disappeared from the screen. Our caretaker told me today that the ice and snow that had melted from the roof had refrozen on my drive and the new ice was barely visible…I’m afraid a fall will result in a broken hip.
Oh, good grief. Ice really is a hazard. My nephew had a serious ice injury a month ago and is still under medical care. Be safe, and watch out for those killer icicles!
