I’m all for cat crossings…our last moggie became a casualty of the car tyre.
I agree Randall, and this sign is so cute it has to attract attention for drivers ;’-).
Nice that you were able to get out for some rides. The cat sign reminds me a little of a sign by the road near here that reads something like “Please slow down. Our cat is stupid.”. I’ll have to snap a picture of that next time I go by.
I look forward to seeing that photo of the cat sign. ;’-)
I love the Valentine’s Day banner with a bicycle on it! Great find! And of course congrats for getting out so often in winter weather.
A biked with hearts leaping around it — what could be better!
Always take heed of Cindy’s words of wisdom about “once you get out there, you’ll feel the magic.” That never fails to be true on those rare occasions I have to force myself to ride.
So, just now I tried to put myself in the same position as that gal on the campus of your local high school. Just for fun. I almost made it. Then I fell. And I wasn’t even balancing on a horse.
It IS magic once you are on the saddle and take a pedal stroke or two. No other word can describe it.
I hope you did not break anything when trying that pose ;’-). I should know better than to post something that looks like any kind of challenge that you would attempt ??.
I love the mill mailbox and glad you felt the magic once you got out there on the last ride. I am not sure if I could handle so much rain after living in dry places my entire adult life. Over here, I’m not a fan of outdoor cats at all. They do SO much harm to the native wildlife. We always tried to create habitat for birds and lizards and lived in a couple places where neighbour’s cats would just decimate all of the lizards we’d attracted to the yard. Over here, outdoor cats should be banned – so many of the native species are in such peril and the feral and neighbourhood cats are a big problem.
I grew up with dogs, not cats. It was not until my mid-adult years that I learned to like them as pets. But I do not like that they get the innocent birds. So I can understand you feelings about them around the other wildlife where you live. I too would advocate to ban outdoor cats if I lived in your environment. Other than birds (and that is plenty enough) there are not many other species that cats can claim.
