Flashing

I always ride with a front flasher and rear flashers, even in daytime. Here’s the headlight.

Always a good idea.
I normally always have the rear light blinky going, I should also turn on the headlight.
Cars are easier to see if the headlights, or daytime running lights are on.
OT — around here, lots of vehicles have burned out lamps, DRL and headlights, and 90% of the time it is vehicle from a certain manufacturer.
Based on my observations on foot, on bike, and in car, it always seems to me that (as seen from the front) a flashing headlight makes it much easier to spot an oncoming bicyclist even in bright sunshine. Consequently, I’ve been riding with front (and rear) flasher for many years. Of course, I would prefer the lighting devices actually emitted force fields impenetrable to motorized traffic….
I, too, always ride with lights on.
I suppose there’s not much need for them on car-free paths and trails, but I never bother to turn them off when I transition from streets to paths.
I also became a full time rear flasher user a few years ago. I’ve noticed it’s pretty much become the norm for most cyclists around here.
It always seems like a puzzling waste of photons when I see bicyclists in the daytime with headlights shining, not flashing. Ditto for rear lights.
Mine don’t flash 🙁
But they are very bright 🙂
I do the rear flashing light thing on all my rides, but have been of the thought that front flashers make sense. Will begin using that one too I think.
