FROM MY COLLECTING BASKET
A recent ride (from this past week) was somewhat in the sun, with only a little cloud cover. These stumps have been here in this very spot for a very long time. I keep expecting that something will happen to them or the property.
Another day of riding, just a couple of days later, brought heavier clouds and a smattering of rain.
The collection of awnings offer at least a little color on this grey day.
On that same ride I saw these windows that reminded me of Rich’s comment of window washers. The first set was what I figured I would find…
…but then I came upon these…

I love your collection of stumps.
My fave was the last picture. I don’t know what it is about broken windows and big, derelict buildings that brings out my appreciation for things other people consider “ugly.”
