I have not ridden much in the past two weeks due to our travel and our family time. And today, now home, we have the smoke to deal with. Moderate air quality of 89 meant caution for doing any kind of out door activities. Fortunately Susan had purchased masks for just such an occasion. ;’-). I chide her for making these kinds of (what I say at the them are) unnecessary items, and could never imagine I would ever wear one or be seen in public wearing one!!

I will do most anything that will help keep me riding!! So I put on the monster mask and had my neighborhood ride.

The Handmades I found are nothing new here but I did go by them today ;’-) and snapped the photos.

NOTE: NO redo’s ever!

I know you will remember this one— 1st & 2nd graders from school year 2009-10. Those school kids are 18-19 year olds now.

Remember this past discovery of the outside education in the woods.

Several years ago the boy scouts built this garden at the elementary school. It at times has had fresh plantings and some little art work around. This past year or two — not so much.

And the hand painted sign in the garden.

Except for the smoke laden sky, our weather continues to be ideal for biking. Today in the low 70s I think, and the cool light breeze felt divine. Rain is on the docket for later this week, so we shall see how riding conditions will be affected then. Meanwhile, I will don my mask and ride on 🥸.

Luckily, it’s October. If anybody gives you grief about the huge mask, just tell them it’s part of your Halloween costume. I know I’d be suitably frightened if I was cycling and saw you coming from the other direction.

Well, I dunno, that mask looks like your are ready to pilot an F-16 — or — a Bike Friday. 🙂

Good finds on the handmade posters!

Yep, ready for anything — smoke, Covid, piloting fast jets.

Lots of smoke here too, burning off before the summer heat.

Ours is from wildfires — some fairly nearby — that have not yet been contained more that 40%. Our upcoming rain and cooler temps should help.

Nice weather and smoke at the same time – that’s not fair.
I had to laught at that mask. But I know the smoke is not funny.
    Good finds as always.
I am riding again but not much handmade stuff in the woods. Just nature.

I had a good laugh at that mask too! `Decided to stay in for the second day with hot temps and smoky sky. Hope to get out tomorrow even if I have to wear that mask again!!!
