Happiness is…

… when I get caught in the rain and have the right rain gear with me, the “rain legs”, rain jacket and rain cover for my cargo bag.

Soon it stopped raining – that also made me happy.

… riding into Munich and finding new backgrounds for my bicycle portraits.

I am not happy that the fork shocks need repairing and I will be without the bike for who knows how long. I have a back-up bike but not half as nice.

I am hoping for 30 happy days on my bike in September. Let’s see how close I get to my goal.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

Well, Suzanne, its all that shredding of mountain bike trails that will do that to the front shocks. 🙂
Hopefully it is a quick repair.
    Nice portrait of your bicycle!

Riding in the rain, if properly dressed and at the right temperature, can be so much fun. And there’s nothing like the peace of mind in having a back-up bike. Good luck with the 30 days in September!

Happy 30 Days thoughts for you Suzanne. I have similar ideas, but may not have the opportunity to ride all 30. Will try though. Indeed, good rain gear is a happy thought!

I wish you well with your bike repair with hopes it will be done sooner than later. ;’-)

I think I could handle the rain better than I could those rocks with my tires. I have the largest that Violette will take, but some surfaces are very difficult. How do you keep your camera dry?

Those stones weren’t really that big, they were just so close to the lens. The path was really easy to ride. As for the camera getting wet, those cameras can handle a little bit of rain, they are water resistant I believe. I wouldn’t put to the test in a downpour, though.

Yes, good rain gear makes me happy. So does getting somewhere warm and dry afterward!

Good luck on the 30 days of happiness riding!
