Happy Thanksgiving!

Just saying hello. No Thanksgiving decorations here since it’s not a holiday. But since I have lived in Germany (I came in 1962) I have kept the tradition alive. We are celebrating a big family Thanksgiving on Sunday. Turkey with all the trimmings for 15 people. Yikes, I hope the preparations don’t keep me off my bike completely!

The weather has been okay and I have been riding. We’ve had some sunny days, grey days, wind, and just one day with some much rain that I didn’t go out. The autumn colors are lovely and I have had fun with my camera on all outings. I am remembering how to dress for the cold and am slowly adjusting to the lower temperatures (I think).

So instead of Thanksgiving themed pictures I’ll just post a few shots from the past days.

Always green in this part of the forest
Evening light is the best, but it’s pretty chilly by that time.
A sunny, mild day and we sat outside for some scrumptious cake at Lake Starnberg.
Frost in the morning on my way to tai chi
A wonderful oak tree and green fields – I’ don’t know what crop that is, or maybe just ground cover for the winter.
Nice paths in the woods and not too muddy yet
Found a fantastic patch of mushrooms on today’s ride.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

    Hi Suzanne!
Great photos as always — those are some very straight tall trees!
    Great you continued T-Giving.
Riding days have been limited here lately, next week should be better.
Maybe Ill find some T-Giving stuff, maybe I won’t, but a ride is the main point.

    Frohes Erntedankfest!

OH! That horse photo. Heart throbbingly beautiful. I too am getting myself acclimated to winter weather. I still have more layers for colder temps as I intend again bike year ‘round. It is cold now but the sunny days make up for it as we anticipate the upcoming rains.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING. To you and Janos —- and your 15 guests!!!
