I’D LIKE TO CHECK ON THE STUMP
After all the whining I did in my reply to Rich’s recent post about weather keeping me indoors, I got to ride today!!!! It rained for all of the morning so I gave in and drove for my couple of errands I had planned to do by bike. After being back home for a few hours ……. the SUN started to show. What? Surprise! Hop on my bike and check on Mara’s Stump.
Sure enough there was a new display for the March Holiday.

That photo was to prove I was on my bike ;’-). This next one is for the display.

Here is what the weather was looking like at the start of my ride. It was still a bit cold at 39 degrees, but not nearly as cold as it has been lately. And the sun is battling with those clouds to come shining through.

In between time I took a photo near where I had taken that clear beautiful mountain range I posted the other day. Here it is today.

There started to be a change as rain drops were falling on my head, they kept fallin’. The sky darkened and it was time to head home. I almost did not ride at all today as I prefer riding earlier than noon, and once noon or 1:00 hits, my oompahpah wanes. I was so glad to get on the saddle today.
Oh! and the biggest highlight for me on this ride is that I ”met” Mara’s neighbor Kristi. As I was taking the photo I felt/saw this car slowly approaching and a woman rolling down her window with a curious, dubious look on her face. I KNEW she was wondering what I was doing in her neighborhood so I took the high road right away and introduced myself. Oh, she said, you are the one that Mara has told me about!!!! We chatted a few minutes more and she said ”we look out for each other here in our little neighborhood so when I saw a stranger taking photos I had to stop and ask.” Good for you I replied.

Great you got a ride in — the Stump is always interesting to see..
55mph winds here tomorrow, so no riding whether it rains/sleets/snows or not.
Very nice bicycle!!
For me today it is looking like rain mixed with snow for much of the day. I will of course keep my eye out for something like yesterday, but it is doubtful I will an opportunity to ride today. Oh well, yesterday was great and now I have more I’d rides in mind ;’).
Glad you like the Vera/Tina.
Great that you could get out with Veratina, or whatever you decide to call her. 🙂 Our weather is very much like yours. A nice day raising your hopes and then some more cold and wet days to dash them.
I am a little surprised to see that you are having similarly (yucky) weather, but you know – misery does seem to like company. Now this morning, after we had been led to believe would be sunny and nice, we will have some rain with some snow mixed in ????.
Yes, I have not yet made the hard decision about Vertina! I am leaning more and more toward Tina, and then Vera calls. ????.
