In Search of Peepers
Thanks to Bob for the info on Peepers — I had no idea that is what they are really called. Cycling companion, and former Biology teacher, would call them Peepers, but I thought he was just calling them for the sound they make — which turns out to be right!
Duh!
Anyway, there are normally some Peepers in a low spot along the railroad but were silent when I passed by. I also didn’t know they don’t have to have water all the time, just when they spawn , . . . . that low spot does dry up at times.
Well, the less you know the more you can learn. 😉

I used to love those commercials. Those guys look a little large to be peepers though. 🙂
I try and find some non beer drinking frogs, no peepers here of the amphibian variety.
