There are few places one can ride in MY town without at least one American flag being within view. The stars & stripes were the most common flag or banner I saw today, but Trump flags and banners were easily in 2nd place. (I didn’t take pictures of those.) In third place, in front of almost every business establishment, was a banner like this.
Here’s a government job opportunity, but not for me. I’ve gotten minor burns on my hands and fingers while cooking a few times and I didn’t like it. How would I be able to enter a building consumed by flames?A flag honoring MY favorite baseball team, America’s favorite baseball team, and Old Grumbleface’s favorite baseball team. GO TWINS!Kudos to the Episcopal Church of MY TownMinnesota calls itself “The State of Hockey.” It’s true. (To Helen Waite: This is not a sign. It’s a banner. It’s not rigid, it’s not permanent, and it flaps with the wind.)When I rode past this flagpole, the flags were unfurled. I waited and waited for that to happen again because the bottom one was an interesting U.S. Navy flag.
Well, you can never count on the wind to cooperate with a photo opportunity. But my waiting did result in something positive. In the background I noticed something that might qualify for the weird/unusual challenge.
Cattle skulls mounted on a chimney might be common in a place like, say, west Texas, but they’re quite unusual here in Minnesota.
Hi. My name is Greg and I ride my bike a lot. That is to say, I ride my bike almost every day. I go on long rides and short rides. Sunny rides, cloudy rides, and rainy rides. I like commuting, errand-running, day-tripping, overnighting, and touring on my bike. I ride on city streets, highways, gravel, single track, and snow with equal enthusiasm. Sometimes I ride fast and sometimes I ride slow. I try to keep my feet on the pedals at stop lights and I do not dismount when I hop up on a curb. I have a roadie bike, a mountain bike and a touring bike. I try to accept any challenge a bike ride can throw at me without complaint. But I don't like bugs.

Thank you for not taking or posting tRump flags ;’-).
I think those cattle skulls are indeed different/unusual for most of us.
An excellent assembly of flags and banners.
And those skulls are unusual, can’t say I’ve ever seen anything like that around here.
Helen is back on terra firma from her wind turbine inspection in Indiana, (no faults found) and totally agrees that is a banner not a sign. Bill’s idea for her apparently did some good. 🙂
Under that rough exterior beats a heart of gold — she still stands by the reel lawnmower decision. 🙂

Certainly a banner post!
I’m guessing that flag must say “Giants” and “Mays is the best” on the other side.
