January Challenge 1 and 2

We are still having exceptionally warm weather, around 16C/60F, and although I have removed a couple of layers from my cycling outfit I am still over dressed because I never quite believe it could be that warm. But I would rather be too warm than too cold any day.

I was expecting the forest paths to be muddy after the snow melt, but Janos convinced me to give them a try and they are really okay. Of course our bikes are spattered by the time we get home but the trail surfaces are firm. We don’t have to limit ourselves to the loops that are exclusively on asphalt which makes things a bit more interesting.

Janurary 1: We rode the same route that we did on January 1 last year, and last year it was almost as warm.
January 2: Chainsaw art

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

Wow, that’s great you are having such good weather! Tucson is having a cold snap but it should be over soon. Todays high is 50. Great photos!

A throne for Suzanne, Queen of Cycling! Probably safer than trying to win the Iron Throne.

Great photo of your bicycle and shadows.
Nice that it warmed up — it did here too, but warm air over cold ground made some very intense fog.

Great 2 rides and great 2 photos ;’-). We are having similar weather now but not 60 degrees! In the mid 30s at night, mid to high 40s during the day. Seems about perfect for now — but of course I will have to work around our upcoming rain for the remainder of the month.
