January Challenge Day 17

Another cold ride
We have had snow and wind and ice and I hadn’t ridden my bike in nine days. However, I think it was mostly the dreary grey sky that kept me off my bike, not all days saw snow and ice on the roads. Today the sky was dreary grey, too, but there was hope for a bit of sun peaking through the clouds in the afternoon. I bundled up and tried to make the most of the -1C/30F temperature. Janos joined me but the sun never did appear and we both admitted at the end of the ride that it wasn’t that much fun.

Very similar to here. 🙁
Cold, grey, ugly, and windy — not much fun cycling right now.
On a happier note, the sun is returning to the north and will gain speed as the days go by.
Great set of photos again Suzanne, hope it warms up soon for you.
I can relate to the “that wasn’t a fun ride’”kind of day. I felt that on a ride one day last week and cut the ride way short. Now in Northere California and not quite the weather I expected or wanted, but may clear over the next day or two and I will get in some riding. You will see by my recent post that I had a “fun” ride in the rain with the Grandgirls.
Good job getting out in cold, dreary weather. Stay warm and dry.
I can totally sympathize with how tough it is to get out. The last two mornings I woke up and looked at the forecast to see that it was supposed to be above freezing by afternoon. But after lunch it was still damp and cloudy and windy, and I just couldn’t quite get up the gumption to get out. But as Rich said, warmer and longer days are coming.
