January Challenge Days 10, 11, 12

Just another loop for ride 10, and again mild weather. The woods are looking so drab these days. The paved path through the forest in the featured picture is what we call the autobahn. It’s a popular route leading out of Munich to the south and is teeming with cyclists in good weather.

Ride 11 on Saturday and it was again warm. I didn’t have a lot of time but snuck in a quick run through the forest before lunch. Even caught a few rays of sun!

On the way back I took the path that cuts through the golf course. I had just caught a glimpse of the Alps through the trees and I knew I would get a better view of them from the bridge over the train tracks.

The ride home ran parallel to the train line and I was on the lookout for the sheep that sometimes graze next to the trail.

Stormy weather with lots of wind for ride 12, which made 10C/50C feel a lot chillier than we expected. Rain came in the afternoon and the temperature is going to drop below freezing tonight. I think our mild weather has come to an end. Sigh.

Really like the fountain and the sun thru the forest — great photos.
The Alps and railroad is a most excellent photo.
The sheep finally, if briefly, cooperated.
Fields here are also looking pretty drab.
Beautiful wool-filled sheep ;’-). Love them.
You have had a good bike weather month and have taken good advantage of it Here’s hoping the incoming weather will be swift for you and back to the somewhat idyllic.
Alps are beautiful.
