JANUARY RIDE #15

Why it is as cold in northern California as it is at home. Wait, I just checked. Nope at home it was in the 20s this morning! But 39 here this morning felt a bit nippy in itself. The clear blue sun-filled sky made up for a lot of strong headwind I had on today’s ride.

I chose a route that was not very long so to be back in time for family stuff that was bound to come up ;’-). The ride was a bit boring only because I have done it many times during our visits here. But the boredom was broken up some by the animals ;’).

This one had be looking straight at me until I pulled out my phone camera.

The herd of sheep scattered as I stopped in front of the fence for their photo. Only one (in the middle here) kept looking at me with every shot I took. I took several and none were very good but this one had my attention as much as I had his/hers.

The geese were close up to the fence when I arrived but they too got up and went away from me. But they kept up their loud honking to warn me to leave.

I could have bought my pig here if there was room on my bike. And if I had wanted one.

To show the difference in flora from what we have at home…

I passed one old barn worth a second glance.

The cold start did warm up to maybe high 40 by the time I finished the ride, and just look at that blue blue blue sky!

You got here in time for a cold (by out standards) spell. It will warm up when the rain starts later this week. 😉
