Sometimes 42 degrees feels so cold to me. That was the case as I started my morning ride. The sun was out most of the day, it never got what one would call ”warm” even though the temp climbed to 45, and the slight headwind added to my sensation of being colder than I expected. My ride took me on a route I do not do very often and I rather enjoyed it.

I have always wondered why these barbed wire rings are on the top of this fence. It can’t be to keep out prisoners, which is where you usually see them, so I am guessing it is to keep out unwanted animals (rats?) maybe.

This tree interested me as one that will do anything to reach for sun for its growing years.

This route takes me past the ”walls of ivy” that I have posted in the past and never tire of seeing. I wish there was a better vantage point for a better photo.

So you see, there was nothing too terribly interesting on my ride, but what a delight to be out in the sun again. AND it is now not getting dark until 5:00pm — instead of the 4:20pm of recent days.

Same here, some days just feel colder regardless of what the thermometer says. I always wear so many layers now…
I like those reddish looking bushes next to your red bike!

Similar here, the dampness makes things feel colder than what the thermometer says.
Interesting tree and vines, like Suzanne, the red bushes really complement your bicycle.

The barbed wire probably does keep the rats out — in one form or another. 😉

Regarding the barbed wire at the top of the fence: Maybe the homeowner has a diamond mine in the backyard, or dead bodies, or nuclear waste, or classified documents & a Corvette. Sorry, those are the only ridiculous excuses I can come up with at the moment.
