June Challenge(s)
A plethora of possible topics!
Decision made, I will concentrate on those that are for the entire month of June
With a great deal of thought, concentration, and consternation the decision was made to select The Great Outdoors rather than Potty Training Awareness Month
When I saw that listed I thought: “They have to be . . . . . . (nevermind)!
Anyway, I’m house broken now (mostly)
The Great Outdoors:
The North Fork of the Vermilion River
Stream Terrace along the North Fork
View south as the road ascends a glacial moraine
Zoomed in view
The North Fork breaches the moraine to the west, leaving another stream terrace
Better view of the terrace
Woodlands along the stream
The grassy area drops off to another section of terrace, now agricultural land
The North Fork is the line of trees in the distance
North Fork flowing south
Roadside grasses
Cloudy skies
Fuzzy grasses along the road
Last year I collected a sample and planted them at home
Big mistake — they invaded everywhere!
They are kinda neat looking 🙂

The Great Outdoors was a great choice, but then, a potty training theme might have been pretty entertaining.
Thanks to my bike trip in Wisconsin last month, I have a better understanding about what a glacial moraine is. All that glacial stuff is interesting to me now.
Cheers Greg on Glacial Education!
BIG Drumlin roll!!! 🙂
Rich, is that a handlebar bag on your rear rack?
Hi Bill,
Yes, it is supposed to be a handlebar bag, but I modified it with velcro strips so it is more a seat bag now.
I just clamped it in the rack for convenience of not having to monkey with attaching it to the seat rails.
Actually, I can get all of my stuff in it, a small seat bag with tools, tube, CO2 inflator etc, as well as a Fix a Flat type repair for bicycles.
Kinda kluged together into a sort of trunk bag too I guess?
