Lawndale and Kenwood

Not having pedaled Lawndale Road and Schultz Road to Kenwood in many moons, I decided to head that way today. A steep uphill segment on Lawndale. Some fast winding downhill on Schultz. A little hazy, but pleasant riding with minimal traffic, rural scenery, vineyards, and wineries.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

I think you should buy both the dragon and the T-Rex for your yard. Then somebody could stop by your house, take a picture, and post it on Cycle365 for the Odd/Strange/Unusual/Weird Challenge. The picture would be particularly odd/strange/unusual/weird if it had an Old Grumbleface in it too.

A sterling idea! Perhaps I could charge a modest fee for photography. Plus, of course, a little extra if they want to include Old Grumble-Face.

That was the area devasted by the fires wasn’t it?
Looks like it is recovering very well.

Retired farmer neighbor wanted a giant chicken on the front lawn — happily his wife put the quash on that idea.

Several bends are on the dragon and T-Rex.

    Nice ride!

Yes, Schultz Road and part of Lawndale Road definitely in the burn area of the Nuns Fire in 2017. Many homes have been rebuilt, but scars remain. Like the farmer, the giant chicken, and the farmer’s wife, my ace support crew insists dragon and T-Rex not quite what she had in mind….

I think the perfect accoutrement to any garden would be a fire breathing dragon.
