Le Sacre du printemps

My ace support crew had musical business which needed attention in Healdsburg today, and I was planning to bicycle in that direction, so we agreed to meet there for lunch on the plaza. I pedaled a rather indirect route in order to enjoy quiet roads and admire some rural countryside. After encountering a battalion of deputies processing a dead body at the end of the Greenway yesterday, today I ran into more law enforcement excitement….

I love the wing-drying birds! Great shot!
Great ride, bill. South lovely country you live in down there! It’s been too many years since we biked through Healdsburg. We need to put it into the list somewhere.
We approve of the goats. Well done. Nice ride too. Did you ride on the west side up to Healdsburg?

Hello yer Goddessness,
Glad you approve of the baby goats. They were definitely a kick. Had to struggle to get a shot over the big fence that mostly blocked my view.
As to route, I wandered around on Laughlin Rd, Slusser Rd, Windsor Rd, etc on the way north. Back via Arata, Hembree, Shiloh, Fulton, etc. Didn’t get quite as far west as Eastside Rd or Westside Rd. The narrow (and sagging) one-lane bridge is on Laughlin Road. You would think you’re a thousand miles from civilization, but the airport is right there.
Thanks for the Nazgul picture. Your Nazguls are a little different to ours so I suppose being some distance apart they have developed their own characteristics. Ours are parrot-like with black body and a few yellow markings around the afterburner. They screech just like a Nazgul should and that’s what Mrs C and I call them.
