Le Tour Goes to Oakwood, IL

A medical appointment for CEO left some time for another venture to Kickapoo and the Rail Trail
Positioning the start to avoid any steep climbs proved a good idea, albeit, shortening the distance
A parking area exists between ravines and is not far from the entrance to the Vermilion County Fairgrounds and access to the Rail Trail

Looks like you had a good ride. Any idea when the entire trail will be finished all the way through? Or, for that information, do I need to go to Helen Waite?
I think we all may have to.
The last ‘Update’ I can find is from June ’21 — 4 miles to go in Champaign County, 9 in Vermilion.
Not sure if any work is being done right now, I’m certain Covid was a factor at that time.
Frankly surprised they have as much done as they do.
Work began in 2016, so I’m guessing another couple years IF funding is provided.
Here is more recent information:

They are talking about extending the trail into Urbana and Danville which might bring it closer to 30 miles.
