I opened up Cycle365 this morning and saw DJG’s “Quick Morning Spin” post. The pictures of free-flowing waterfalls reminded me that I should have ridden to our local waterfall for a quick look.
That’s what I did this morning. Sure enough, the Vermillion River falls was frozen.
The rest of the river is frozen too.Bonus picture of another mountain summit
Hi. My name is Greg and I ride my bike a lot. That is to say, I ride my bike almost every day. I go on long rides and short rides. Sunny rides, cloudy rides, and rainy rides. I like commuting, errand-running, day-tripping, overnighting, and touring on my bike. I ride on city streets, highways, gravel, single track, and snow with equal enthusiasm. Sometimes I ride fast and sometimes I ride slow. I try to keep my feet on the pedals at stop lights and I do not dismount when I hop up on a curb. I have a roadie bike, a mountain bike and a touring bike. I try to accept any challenge a bike ride can throw at me without complaint. But I don't like bugs.

The waterfall, the river and snow mountain are all impressive in their own way. Though especially the waterfall, would like to see a photo of it when it has thawed.
(Fortunately) I will never be able to match snow/ice photos and rides from YOUR town! I will enjoy your photos instead π. If I even could think of a nearby waterfall, it would be small and no frozen (as I say, fortunately). Great photos Greg.

Beautiful cascades of ice.
No waterfalls around here — Indiana’s highest waterfall isn’t far away
Just looked it up — Trip Advisor states it is closed now, but will reopen at 8 AM tomorrow. π

That waterfall is amazing!
