Nancy’s Holiday Challenge By Way Of Rich’s Monthly Challenge

Ahhh, Thanksgiving time in Minnesota. The harvest is in, snow is in the air, snow is on the ground and, judging by the sub-freezing temperatures predicted for the next week, the snow is here to stay.

There can be no better time to head out on one’s bike for slipping, sliding, picture taking, and finger freezing.

I’ll start with this cute mid-November scenery. I’m not sure if it looks more like Thanksgiving or Christmas.

A turkey and a scarecrow–very Thanksgiving-ish.

Nothing says “Thanksgiving” like a mailbox decorated with a turkey dressed as a pilgrim.

I made this greeting card all by myself.

The next two pictures were taken while pedaling past a couple houses. Sometimes I do that when the residents are visible in the front window. Sometimes capturing a challenge picture without your bike is preferable to posing your bike and being perceived as a Peeping Tom.

Good T-Giving photos — I really like the greeting in the snow.
We are predicted to get snow tonight and tomorrow, We will see . . . .

Weather Lore: “The day of the month there is enough snow to track a cat, that’s the number of snows for the winter.” Looks like it may be 15 here.

Yeah, you don’t wanna get a Peeping Tom citation — one BOLO for photographing kids is enough! 🙂

Would love to frolic in the snow whilst eating a turkey drumstick, I’ll put it on my bucket list.

Wonderful snow pictures, Thanksgiving decorations and greeting card! We have neither snow nor Thanksgiving decorations here, I’m glad to have no snow but we will celebrate our own Thanksgiving with turkey and all the trimmings.
