National Making Life Beautiful Day

Today was the first chance I had to ride my bicycle this month! When we got home from our tour in France, I brought my bike to have some minor repairs done while I was away for my tai chi seminar and got my bike back yesterday evening. Haven’t been off my bike so many days in a row for a long time. Riding again certainly made life beautiful. Not that life isn’t beautiful anyway, of course, but you know, if you get out on your bike it’s even more beautiful.

While I was practicing tai chi, Janos went on a little tour of his own, starting where he dropped me off for the seminar and riding a loop back to pick me up five days later. He even wrote a JOURNAL! It’s in German but the google translator is pretty good if you feel like reading it.

Now a picture for National Rose Month.

It is also National German Chocolate Cake Day! And I didn’t even create an occasion for a picture.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

    Beautiful roses!

Tried Google translate — found out you can keep adding text in German as you go along, don’t have to start over at all. Cool!

    I’m reading away!

Luddite that I am — how do you use translation?

Let’s see if I can explain – first you highight the text you want to translate, then right click your mouse and you should see the option “translate”. If that doesn’t work, ask Rich. I’m not sure how he was able to keep adding text…

Sometimes I translate the German into English with Google just to see what it does with the text. Occasionally you get some nonsense but generally it’s amazingly good.
