Neatly Ordered Pelicans

No bicycling here, but I’ve been assured that hikes are now welcomed so this should qualify.  We stopped off at Point Lobos on the drive from Petaluma to San Luis Obispo, making our way to Tucson in five easy pieces.  Point Lobos is a beautiful place for a walk, with plenty of interest no matter what your tastes.

I was excited early on when we came across this tangerine-encrusted tree, thinking it was Juniper-Killing Lichen.  Great!  My quest submission found, the pressure is off and I can relax and enjoy the rest of the walk.  Then I remembered that these are cypresses, not junipers; so I dug deeper.

This is just a placeholder for now. I’ll add a real description when I get more time.

You are doing great with your quest!

The tangerine tree is a beautiful photo, bad that it kills the tree. 🙁

Question: WordPress will not let me log in to the main page — the way I got here was to go to Register, where I AM recognized, then Dashboard, and scroll down to the recent posts such as this one.
Am I doing something incorrectly or ??

    Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks for the feedback, Rich. It’s not you. I have the same issue myself, as have others. There’s a problem with the site that we’re trying to resolve, but we haven’t had much success yet. We thought we had last night but there is still something wrong. We’re still looking.

Also, FYI. The algae isn’t killing the tree – it’s just growing on wood that was already dead.

I managed to log in by way of the back door, I think. I wonder if it will work again. I clicked the comment button in the email notification for a new post. And voilà, I was in. Not a permanent solution I’m afraid. In the meantime I can’t log in on my android devices either. I hope you are spending too much time with this, we can wait a bit.
