November’s challenge is to ride!

Isn’t life challenging enough right now?  Who needs more challenge than we’re already dealing with this month? It’s enough of a challenge to just keep your sanity and your health.  Isn’t that quite enough?  Just be happy if you manage to get outside on your bike, and show us your ride – any ride, anywhere, any bike.

The photo, btw, represents challenge.  Not shown just out of the frame is an anxious lady clutching her small dog in her arms out of harms way.  The man has just forcefully pulled the leash to haul back his big brute, who was just up on his hind legs growling and barking.  Nothing to do with bikes, I just liked the show.

This is just a placeholder for now. I’ll add a real description when I get more time.

Okay, everybody, the official November challenge is to keep your sanity and your health and display any ride, anywhere, any bike. But that doesn’t mean you can’t include Nancy’s suggestion of an “Emptiness” challenge.
I know MY health and sanity will be much better in November if the election goes one way rather than another. Which reminds me of a sign I saw today. It was handwritten in Magic Marker and was posted on a telephone pole. It said: “Lose 244 pounds FAST. VOTE!” It took me way too long before I figured out what that meant, but eventually I got it.
I voted yesterday and it felt great.

To each his own, but to save my sanity, I hope we lose the one who is 322 pounds. Must say our early voting place in Louisville’s east end ran like clockwork. There was a huge amount of people there, but it was so well organized that I parked, walked around the building to the door (as close as I’ve gotten to a hike lately), voted and was back in my car in 20 minutes.

Who’s the 322-pounder? Is that Donald AND Pence? I thought the Prez himself weighs 244–at least that’s what he claims.

Riding is challenge enough, I agree. And a welcome relief from the not so pleasant challenges we are facing. Fortunately our new lockdown doesn’t limit how far I can ride. Cold weather will take care of that.

Yes, I will ride as much as I can as that surely helps with my state of mind and my body ;’-). May also collect a few empties along the way. My Cycle Days Challenge will be good for the Just ride my bike month ;’-).
