Rain continues

I pedaled just far enough for a photo and a soaking.

I’d say Acre Feet!
Surly Aqua — I mean Ogre — looks a little precarious out there.
Indeed! Normally that pier is several feet above water level. These days it submerges, emerges, submerges, and emerges again depending on how much rain is coming down. I’ve been trying to time it just right so I can get out there when it’s barely underwater, making it look like the Ogre is standing on water in the middle of the lake.
Much concern for you and for all of California in these horrific storms.
Great photo there Bill.
Thanks. It has been a mess, and dangerous as well, even though Sonoma County has not been the hardest hit. One individual died when a storm-damaged tree fell onto his home, and a woman drowned in her car on a flooded road where I sometimes pedal.
The Ogre looks a little too close to the edge–as if a gust of wind could have blown it into the lake. I’m sure, as a dedicated bicycle owner, you would dive in to save it.
Of course, as you know from your experience, every owner of a Surly is contractually obligated to perform such bike rescues.
I would have preferred to use Photoshop to get my bike floating on water than to to so close to the brink with it.
