Recover, Rehab, Rebuild

I was knocked flat on by back for almost two weeks by acute sinusitis (self-diagnosis), my first ever experience of such a thing. Whew. Thought I was going to expire, and naturally I figured it was Covid. But I kept reminding myself I never lost my sense of small.

Glad you are back on the road — recovery wise and bicycle wise.
These days any kind of illness is concerning.
We are totally vaccinated but still take precautions as before — although I get a slight tingling at the injection site as the microchip relays info. 😉
Rich, that is hilarious! I’m stealing that line!
I’ve heard the next software update will take care of that. I think it will download automatically.
I kind of enjoy the tingling, so I might need to disable the auto update feature.
Do you get an overwhelming urge to buy MIcrosoft products?
Yes! Ever since that second Pfizer jab, I am absolutely desperate to upgrade my Mac to Windows 3.1!
Sorry to hear you were unwell but glad you were able to get out again! Don’t overdue it.
Self-diagnosis? You mean you didn’t see a doctor? I’m glad you’re feeling better and are back on your bike!

I didn’t want Greg to think I was a wimp.
I’ve dealt with some sinus infections in the past (thankfully not recently), and I know how uncomfortable they can be. I know for me, some exercise actually helped. Take care of youself!

I’m thinking maybe the next Challenge should involve photos of snotted bandanas.
I now see another characteristic you have in common with me: I only go to the clinic when absolutely necessary. Like an obviously broken hand, a deeply lacerated shoulder, or a Covid-19 vaccine.
Ditto with my ace support crew, who while planting flowers managed to induce damage to her lower back. Now she can’t even tie her shoes, but refuses to follow medical advice — like, “Why don’t you wear sandals?” — dispensed by the snot-ridden Dr Grumble-Face.
Glad you’re OK now. I wonder if it had anything to do with the onset of your Spring with pollen and allergens everywhere.
Could be, but never before clobbered anything like this. Perhaps those pollens and allergens upgraded their arsenal to heavy-duty steamrollers this year.
I’ve definitely been affected more by allergies or something the past several months.
