RIDE #112: 28 JULY 2018
Pedals started turning at 4.58am to start our Blood Moon ride. The total lunar eclipse was in progress.
It wasn’t long before the full phase gave way to the partial phase.
Ninety minutes later the show was over.

Good on you for getting out so early to ride under the eclipse! I dragged myself out of bed about 5.15am and drove (not comfortable on the 100kph rural roads in the dark) out of town to a good viewing spot and watched the moon, Mars, satellites and shooting stars for an hour before some cloud rolled in. I did ride later in the day though.
It was worth the early start. Glad to hear that you saw lots from your viewing spot.
There was a fair amount of cloud here too, and rain by 9.00am.
Great rides and photos, as always. Bad news: The lunar eclipse not visible here. Good news: Slept late. 😉
Thank you sir.
A great story told with three outstanding photos. Beauty and simpliicity–nice!
Glad you enjoyed the post.
A sensational ride!
Thank you Suzanne. It was fun. Being able to see Mars was a treat.
