Today’s ride along the west coast from Morib to Port Dickson included 153kms on the bike and too much time spent in the sun.
It also included a couple of short ferry rides at Sungai Pelek. The 75 metre ferry crossing, for pedestrians and bikes only, cuts 6km each way off the length of the main road route.
At Tanjong Sepat we pedalled to the end of a concrete pier that replaced a collapsed wood structure which was romantically known as Lover’s Bridge.
There is little romance in the new structure.
The view from the end of the pier is nice though.
The romance is provided by the carpark artwork.
Post Dickson is the closest beach resort town to Kuala Lumpur.
We made another stop at Tanjong Sepat on the way back, where I found a tree to photograph.
This “Wishing Tree” is part of a touristy spot near what was the Lover’s Bridge.
And “no,” sadly those are not real flowers.
