RIDE PHOTOS — FIRST HALF OF APRIL

I have been wondering about even posting my photos here as I do keep my own blog and refer you to that for any story behind some of my pictures.

Also I have thought perhaps my photo taking is a bit mundane with the things I find, and possibly only of interest to me. But I miss you all and this is what I have been doing and riding for this half of the month, so will post catch up photos.

My monthly bike by “the stump”. There is arabbit there (actually 2 rabbits).
Ride with a small group of friends along Padilla Bay Trail in Skagit county
Took myself for an Easter chocolate treat ride.
Was thrilled to pass by such beautiful color on this day. Spring.
Wall of vines should be blooming into something soon. Must check back on a later ride.
Have posted this in the past, but different time of year and I simply enjoy it.
We took the two young (4 & 7) Grandboys camping and a bike ride to the Hotdog man.
A scouting ride of the bike route from camp to the ferry landing brought me by a castle (Anacortes).
A solo ride from home toward Everett, showing the shoreline to town.
We have a place for our alien visitors to land their ship.
A ride into Everett with Cindy. View of the bay and the Olympic mountains.
After a small group club ride I needed a stop on the way home for a substantial snack. Silver Lake.
Yesterday’s ride around the neighborhood. I had little to no intention of taking a photo. But always love this guy.

I sure hope I have not overloaded everyone with these photos. I have made a slight change in my own rules. Though I will always try to have my bike in the photo of the day, that may not always happen due to circumstances or location.

I am still successful at biking 30 Days of April, but not every day has a photo worthy of taking. I see in this post that there is one day without a photo and there well may be more. And though I am beginning to get just a little weary of riding every single day, I intend to complete the 30 Day challenge, especially since we are now half way there. I plan to ease up on myself a bit by doing shorter, easy miles on some days rather than trying to get a bunch of miles and not enjoy riding ?.

All caught up 😉

What?? Of course you should continue posting here. We’d miss you too! And we’d miss seeing scenes from your corner of the world. I especially liked the shots of Padilla Bay and that ivy-laced wall. Congrats on getting out so regularly this month.

Please keep posting here — even if you link to your own blog, it is a good point of contact.
I appreciate seeing what others see on their rides, and no, it isn’t always spectacular –( hee hee try Central Illinois!) Grocery stores, Post Office, where you get pizza, whatever — its all interesting and of course the bicycle is central to that often times.
Years ago a guy on CG posted some pix of his regular rides around home and I thought that was pretty cool, and still do.

I love the variety of photos that you post! It’s always interesting, and fun, to see what other people experience on their ‘regular’ rides. And congratulations on that April streak. I managed to miss April 1st, but have gotten in a ride (or two) every day since.

Please keep posting here, Nancy! I’ve said it before, but you find wonderful things to take pictures of.
Good job on getting a ride every day so far! I am glad I didn’t commit myself to the ride-every-day-in-April challenge as we are still getting freezing days and snow.

THANK YOU ALL for this positive feedback about posting my mundane photos ??. Remember — you asked for it, so you will be subject to that. I just got back from a errand ride and have a little something to post that will meet this criteria. Coming up.

You’re more disciplined than me, in the cycling and journaling department, well done.

Nothing mundane in these photos. They probably give you that feeling because they are so familiar to you, but for most of us, you show us things we’d never seen otherwise. I have missed you.
