SECOND WEEK JANUARY RIDES/PHOTOS
We have had our share of rain this week/month, but there have been enough breaks with dry (and at times, some sun!) to get in some bike riding.

I think it would be so cool if somebody drove that steam-powered fire engine up to the next fire in your town. Sure, it would be just for show, but I know if I was a fireman it would inspire me.
Kudos to Cindy for stopping to wait for you while you took that last picture.
That would be cool Greg, but I doubt it will be done. Yes, Cindy is a good egg about my photo op stops ?.
Nine rides already! I have exactly one… But I don’t even feel tempted to ride now – too cold and not all paths are cleared of ice and snow. I’m happy to vicariously enjoy your bicycle outings and glad that your weather allows you to get on your bike.
Stay in Suzanne ?. In any conditions like you are having, I would not be riding either. We have (I hope I am not jinxing it) been having best case scenario with our weather.
Nancy, looks like you had some great rides, and some being downright adventurous. It’s always challenging this time of year. I really prefer riding early in the morning, but this time of year I definitely wait for that “sweet spot” between 11am-2pm, when i tends to be the warmest.
Thanks Bob. I too am an early bird and would much rather ride then, but there are conditions that don’t allow that so as you say — wait for the sweet spot!
We have a fireman’s museum just across the river that has some old equipment like you show here. You always find the most interesting things on your rides. I can find interesting things around here, but not that I could ride to. Glad your weather isn’t too bad for riding. I wasn’t able to get out last week, but must do something outside this week. Helps keep me sane!
Keeps me sane too ??
