On my normal solo ride I did see one — or maybe it is considered two? — simple machine)s)
I see a RAMP as machine. Are the springs the pull the ramp back up considered a machine?
Yep, only one today.

No question about the ramp — the mechanism to lift the ramp may be a lever or at least lever-like.
