SNOW, A CYCLE DAY, AND COLLECTIONS
There is no comparison of the amount of snow we get to the amount (and frequency) that Vermont and Minnesota get, and that is just how I like it. ;’-)
BUT — on the FIRST day of winter (yesterday), right on schedule, snow arrived.
Photos from last evening’s snow fall from (and at) out our front door.

By this morning, as I was preparing for my ride, this is what was left of our first day of winter snow fall — just how I like it. ;’-).

The sun was out bright and casting shadows on dry pavement. Just how I like it.

I take this opportunity to post my remaining collections collection. The first is from a past sunny day, but I rode by it on my route today.
Sandbags.

The cones caught my eye because of the baby ones on top.

These ‘stickers’ on a car window are a different kind of collection.

And today, by taking a wrong turn (that came to a dead end), I found these bottles.

I will post the remaining Cycle Days photos at the end of the year. ;’-).

Lovely snow pics. Glad it melted on the roads so you could get out. We are having a heat wave for this time of year, but along with warmth comes rain.
It has not been very cold here either, so we were somewhat surprised by the snowfall.
Nice snow pictures. Snow can be very pretty when it gently falls straight down and sticks to the trees. We get a few snowfalls like that but It seems like most of the snow around here blows sideways and is too dry and too cold to stick to anything. It’s ugly and you can’t even make snowballs or snowmen out of it. The weather people are predicting an inch or two of snow for us tonight. It is very warm here this morning, so I’m hoping it will be one of those pretty snowfalls.
Those window stickers are something else. I guess that’s all I can think of to say about them.
Indeed, ours was one of those pretty ones with the snow falling directly to the ground. I agree about the window stickers — couldn’t think of anything to say about them either. Some are rather … ummm … disgusting, for lack of a better word.
You’re so lucky! I think it’s been a decade at least since we’ve seen snow for the holidays. Our odds aren’t good this year in Tucson either. We had a high of 77 yesterday.
And Greg’s right – that decal collection is certainly something.
Nice snow! Are you sure you weren’t visiting Greg in Minnesota or Bob in Vermont?
Nice snow photos and then clear roads, good combination.
Interesting collection of stickers . . . . someone should introduce them to the concept of holding the brake and finding the friction point of the clutch at the same time. 😉
