Suggestions Needed for June Challenge
The June Challenge will be a scavenger hunt finding and photographing items on the scavenger hunt list and including your bicycle as each item is found.
To develop the list I’m looking for your input for the items to include.*
So, be looking and thinking about what you might to see included and send it to me. I will then compile a list of items.
As of now I’m thinking of 2 or 3 or 4 rounds appearing every week to 10 days to keep things fresh and involved.
Some items will no doubt be difficult to photograph and include your bicycle as well, such as a squirrel on a branch or walking a wire.
Since all 365er’s are of impeccable integrity (except for that one guy in the central Mid West) we know you were on your bicycle finding the items.
Your input of items to list would be greatly appreciated.
List your items in the comments below.
Any additional thoughts and/or ideas would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
*Thanks to Nancy for some unique items.

Some ideas:
(1) Something discarded along the road/path (the more interesting, the better)
(2) A bicycle and/or bicyclist encountered on your ride
(3) Something especially bright and colorful
(4) An animal
(5) A large machine
(6) Outdoor artwork (mural, sculpture, etc)
Thanks Bill — noted and will add to the list.
You seem to be the best at finding ‘interesting’ discarded items along the road. 😉
A boulder, a smoke stack, a bird’s nest, an out-of-state license plate, a silo, a hand-painted sign, a cell phone tower, something purple, an oddly-shaped tree, an abandoned chair on a bridge with a red stain on the seat and a shirt tied around the back like a bow. I’ll try to think of some more later on.
Great list thanks!
I was thinking a 1983 Corvette might be interesting to try to find.
Just to make things a little less difficult, you might want to offer the option of either a 1983 Corvette or a 1926 Corvette.
A 1926 corvette is probably doable assuming you are near a body of water — those corvettes date back to 1670’s or so. If no luck, just go for a frigate. 🙂
I like your ideas Rich — a few rounds every 10 days or so for each week. Sounds like fun. thanks for doing this, and for your thoughts about it. I know I will not find a silo around where I live (Greg)!
Thanks, Im assembling a list . . . . and thanks for your input of items! 🙂
Im hoping an occasional fresh input will keep things going all month.
Some more items for the list:
a ladder, a fire hydrant, a trampoline, a tennis court, an umbrella, a feather, a Y shaped thing, something to recycle, a fork in the road, something you think is a treasure, crack in concrete, a red roof, a lock, clouds that look like something like an animal, face etc., something sparkly, pareidolia, something lucky, something that floats, basketball hoop
I guess some are too easy, just choose the ones you think are ok.
That is a great list! Thanks!
I had to look up pareidolia — and still have no idea what it means LOL
Wow — from she who said she needed ‘help’ with a list comes this great choice of things to find! Easy is not a bad thing — I like easy. Like Rich —I don’t know what pareidolia means — will not try looking it up ;’-).
That was supposed to be NOW look it up. Past 24 hours so. —- I cannot edit the comment.
Is anyone else having a problem logging in? I seem to often get a 509 error message that the site is not responding, It may well be on my end but I don’t know why or what.
