TC’s CLC 2018 Ride #5

Today I rode to Four Springs Lake.  The Lake is an artificial construct developed to provide low altitude fishing and is much used early and late in the fishing season when the highlands can be cool.

The ride there is through farmland and then Tasmanian bush.  You can read about it by clicking HERE.

    Dearest Tony,

Very nice ride. I’m mystified by the weather station on the Give Way sign also. Could you tell if there was any cabling for power or connectivity? Hard to see in the photo. Good use of available infrastructure but who? what? where? how? are good questions.

We particularly love the Beware sign. We want one. Just the thing for CLC. Please send forthwith.

Well Kathleen, I am going back next week. Told friends about the ride and they want to do it too. When we get to the Give Way sign I will investigate its add-ons further. In fact one person who may come along was connected to the Council so he may know the story.

Just read your goat tale. We had goats a few years back. Milked them too. They were interesting animals but would not eat blackberry or willow – the very tips were to their liking but the rest – forget it.

Nice ride and pics, Tony. I loved those road signs, too. In Colorado, where my a parents live and where pot is now legal, there is no way that recreational users sign would not get stolen. I have also ridden down the ‘wrong’ side of the road when the only good strip of gravel was on the opposite edge. I also do that on corners where the inside gets really corrugated! Hope you keep getting those stunner days. Em
