I went on a 25-mile ride today and I didn’t take a single picture. I didn’t stop at all except for a quick pee.
So what have I got to offer?
Well, it only took the previous two Cycle365 posts to incite me into action. IllinoisRich and Old Grumbleface displayed what’s inside their bike bags. I can do that.
There was some discussion about G-2 and a million dollars. I can do that too.
Here is what I have in my bike bag: G-2, a Park Tool bottle opener and lots & lots of cash. As long as I have tons of money in my bag I’ve got nothing to worry about. Flat tire? I’ll just call Triple A. Cracked bike frame? I’ll call the nearest welder and offer a few thousand dollars to drive out and fix it. Run out of water? Any convenience store employee will be glad to bring me a bottle for a $500 tip.As as long as I have a bottle opener, I will never be stranded on the side of the road trying to figure out how to open a bottle of high-quality ale without a twist-top cap.
So yeah, that’s what I have in my bag. Here’s a picture I took yesterday. It’s a “Sentenced to Serve” crew picking up litter on the highway. I don’t have pictures of what they have in their bags, but I’m pretty sure it’s mostly beer cans and cigarette butts.
Since I have nothing else to offer in this post, I’ll just share a couple of videos from my earlier dog walk. I thought they were pretty cool.
The Feeshko wants you to know she didn’t know I was filming at the time.
Hi. My name is Greg and I ride my bike a lot. That is to say, I ride my bike almost every day. I go on long rides and short rides. Sunny rides, cloudy rides, and rainy rides. I like commuting, errand-running, day-tripping, overnighting, and touring on my bike. I ride on city streets, highways, gravel, single track, and snow with equal enthusiasm. Sometimes I ride fast and sometimes I ride slow. I try to keep my feet on the pedals at stop lights and I do not dismount when I hop up on a curb. I have a roadie bike, a mountain bike and a touring bike. I try to accept any challenge a bike ride can throw at me without complaint. But I don't like bugs.

Great videos! I never would have thought that you have pelicans in your area.
