THE GRANDS HELP WITH REFLECTIVES
What a great idea Greg gave me about having the Grands help find lights and reflectives while on a ’mini ride’. We had a fantastic time first at the Ropes course (will blog later) then at miniature golf and finally to DQ for our lunch.
Starting out on our outing they work at getting lined up for the photo I told them I was going to take.

They did a pretty good job.

You might be able to tell that the near 13 year old Grandson is not too into stuff like finding lights and refletives. But the girls went all out. They excitedly pointed out everything on everyone’s bike and kept their eye out for any others they could find. This post is from the Grands, and only the Grands finds. I did not pass up any one that they found for me.

We piled up our bikes on the patio, masked up and went in to make our order for outdoor lunch and treat. What a fine day it was.

Sarah said she was sorry I did not get much of a ride today. I told her there are some things much more important than number of miles ;’-). These were precious moments.

Great work Grands!!
Some pretty sharp eyes and creative thinking!!
And, yes, some things are more important than number of miles.
Thanks Rich. They did have sharp eyes for me at any of our stops, and quick to point out something for me. Indeed this day and time with them was worth thousands of miles ;’-).
Wonderful!
It was. Now the hard part of saying out goodbyes this morning.
Thank you for taking my suggestion to heart. It certainly made for a cute post. The pictures of the whole crew are priceless. And, as a former 13-year-old boy, I can sympathize with your grandson’s less than enthusiastic response to looking for lights and reflectors with a bunch of girls.
Thank you for that good laugh Greg! I am sure that Jaydon will love hearing about your empathy for him!!
Very nice. And just perhaps the 13 year old was having more fun than he let on.
Thanks Bob — you may well be right!
Good job with the grands. I’ve been out of action for a week while hosting our grandchildren. I’m beginning to think they might be feral. They sure have more energy and wildness than Old Grumble-Face!
They are full — I mean FULL — of energy.
