Fresh drinking water straight from the waterfall. NICE! I only have two questions: Does the water need any purification treatment? Is it some kind of magic California water that doesn’t freeze in the winter?
In the promised land of California, all the water is pure, all the temperatures are mild, all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.
As one prominent President once said: (paraphasing Moses) “Throw down your shovels, sit on your asses, light up Camel — This IS the Promised Land!”
According to Snopes, apocryphal. The middle of a three-part joke (supposedly a quote from FDR), with the third part evolving over the years to demean whoever is the sitting President at that time. On the other hand, the Joads definitely believed they had arrived in the promised land, as do many east to west cyclists when completing the rugged Western Express route!
